Project vs. Process Classes: Process classes are those that focus primarily on acquisition of a new skill or technique and which will generally NOT result in a specific completed work. A project class will focus on a completed or nearly completed project, during which a new technique or skill may be acquired. We offer an assortment of classes from beginning metalsmithing to advanced classes such as stone setting and metal forming. Our teaching staff consists of experienced teachers with extensive backgrounds in jewelry making and metal smithing techniques.
We are pleased to welcome Marie DeWerf Neville and Lori Hart to our teaching staff of Emily Ruff, Holly Strawbridge, Lori Brauer and Mary Kernahan. She will be starting classes in our February-March class cycle.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are looking for a class that is scheduled but no longer see it on the website, this indicates that the class is at full enrollment. If you would like to be placed on the waiting list in case of an opening, please call us at 248-474-1600.
Pre-registration and a nonrefundable deposit of ½ the listed class fee are now absolutely required to guarantee a place in all classes. The balance is due on the first day of class. Registration closes 2 business days before start of class. Should we cancel a class, your deposit will be refunded or may be applied to another class. Classes require a minimum of 3 students. If you have a group of 3 or more, but find that our schedule does not fit yours, please inquire and we can arrange a class for you.
