Bolo Ties with Dave Dziedzic - Saturday October 3, 10 am - 1 pm

Known as a staple western accessory. bolo ties are making a comeback in mainstream fashion. If you're not familiar with them, the "ties" are made of braided leather cord that wraps around the neck, held together with an ornamental metal medallion that slides up to tighten it, and ending with decorative tips. Join Dave and create a bolo tie of your very own design. Students will use traditional metalsmithing techniques such as piercing, soldering, application of textures, and finishing and embellishing techniques to fabricate their own bolo slide and tips. This both a PROCESS and PROJECT class. One session, 3 hours.
